Only 5 1/4 inch? I remember 8 inches... you probably remember punch cards tbf
I first programmed with punch cards and that was in 1984 on a Honeywell mainframe, we had 12 and 14 inch floppy disks and 30mb Winchester hard drives which were the dogs bollocks back then. They were massive and had about 10 platters the size of an LP record and slotted into a machine that was 4 foot high.

Got Resident Evil: Biohazard for my birthday. Played it for a couple of hours and really enjoying it, but its not Resident Evil as we know it. It's the first RE game that has moved to first person shooter game play. Initial thoughts on this are positive and it works well. A big change is that as far as i can tell so far this RE has no association with the likes of Racoon City, T-Virus, Umbrella Corp. etc etc. If i didn't know better i would say i was playing something more Silent Hill Esq. You play a guy looking for his wife who has been captured by some inbred hillbilly red-necks and kept captive in their house.
I've been a massive fan of the RE series so far so i have high hopes for this one.

The Resident Evil series has always been too effective for me and I can't play it for long before the tension is too much.
I don't normally deviate too far from FM/PES, maybe a bit of GTA or Tropico, but Sniper Elite 4 on the PS4 with a 3D TV is pretty fucking great.

I've only played for a hour or two. I'm currently looking for the 3rd dogs head. The bit in the garage was pretty funky.

Being the cool kid I am, invested in a Switch and the new Zelda game. The switch is alright, quite enjoy being able to take it and play it as a tablet. The Zelda game is absolutely superb, both in how it looks and how it plays. A lot different to the older titles but still has the Zelda feel.
I'm not sure there's anything else on the Switch that looks worth buying so far which is really disappointing. I've got a feeling this may be their last console.

Will eventully get one wh n they drop in prices a bit or start doing bundles. I assume there will be a Mario, Mario Kart and Mario Party due out soon. Those games are usually enough to drive a Nintendo console. Although, I'd have thought they'd released with some of those titles.

Yeah the release has been so weak. I think they focused all their efforts on Zelda (which is fair enough, the game is massive) but they'd have been better off delaying it and releasing with a Mario at least. Zelda is worth it though mate, the dungeons are a bit lacking but there's just so much you can do you forget about it.
Be interesting to see when Skyrim and FIFA come out. Not sure how well they will do.

So happy that COD is going back to its roots with WWII. No jet-packs of lasers in sight.
