Jeez it’s only their first game since signing 🙄 Not convinced by any of the trialists today. Young lad in midfield looks a bright prospect for us and Shade looked half decent first half and the kiddy from Plymouth looked ok too 2nd half but that’s about it though. |

But the amount of grown men, most with children and families, who have a melt down after a loss to a non league side in a pre season friendly, especially when it happens most seasons, amazes me.

Just to be clear, as awful as we were for large parts today, I’m writing nobody off. Pre-season friendlies are a different beast to anything else these guys will usually play, and often you’ll play to the standard put in front of you. These kind of fixtures are what they are, a glorified training session, albeit a valuable one.
