My observations for what they are worth:
1/ Stupidity on behalf of Man U fans to 'charge' at Roma fans when Roma scored. Given the current climate of hooliganism in Italy and the death of a policeman its little suprise the police were 'up for this one' I thought it was the other way round? Roma fans charged the barrier when they scored the opening goal and then did so again when Scholes got sent off. thats what i thought as well...the thing is there where no police on Roma's side when they charge so didn't have to worry about being hit but when the english did it the police came straight down and gave them a good hiding...I think if you go abroad to a game like that you've got to expect so degree of trouble whether it be in or out of the stadium |

That's because NO police are allowed with the Ultras.
I still remember a few years ago in a Serie A game at the San Siro, Ultra Inter fans threw a motorbike off the top tier,which they 'snuck' in the ground.
