A couple of articles have popped up today suggesting that Danny Wilson has inquired about the Charlton Athletic right back;

 http://www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/newsview.ink?nid=35722; and

 http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/5042019.Swindon_express_interest_in_Addicks_defender/

Seems to have the right grounding as a footballer: French U19s and U21s, Charlton, etc but let us remember that France is the country that gave us Eric Sabin!

Blimey, never heard of him, and he's their highest earner. Not surprised they haven't heard back from us.

Done very well at Motherwell by all accounts, although looking at his wiki he had a bust up with Harry Arter, who I think we will sign this summer if we don't go up. Was vquite highly rated before going to charlton, but wages will be a massive stumbling block

He's on wages of of £12K atm, so unless he's willing to take a DRASTIC wage cut, or Charlton pay most of his wages whilst on loan, i dont think we'll be signing him :L

Where have you heard 12k a week? I would be very surprised if Charlton were paying that much to someone, no disrespect to the lad, but that none of us have ever heard of.

He spent a few months on loan at Motherwell and I doubt they've got much more money than us, so either he ain't earning anything like that or Charlton are grateful for anything they get to offset his wages.

I wouldn't rule out Charlton having players with five figure weekly salaries on their payroll. Pretty certain Southampton had a good few hence why they were loaning out and practically giving away some of their best players to try and get their wage bill under control.

Asked a friend who is a Charlton fan about the guy. His response was:

'Hurray we're finally going to get rid of him, what a result. Thats made my evening Cheesy

By the way he sulks and makes noises most of the time and has never really made our first team though Chris Powell rated him at one stage. He is a player who you tear your hair out at watching. Have fun with that! Cheesy'

Not a ringing endorsement!!!!

Yep. Just like sarfend thought Paynter was useless, lids thought Lucas was useless, etc, etc.

I never listen to other fans opinions of players.

Sounds very similar to a Swansea fan's view of Amankwaah, or Leeds fans' view of Lucas, or Sheehan, or Southend fans' of Billy....

The point I was making was that it wasn't the same as the Celtic fans were saying about Ferry or Caddis. Its not what the Leds fans were saying about Sheehan nor Douglas. Might be complete bollocks, but, it isnt a ringing endorsement!
