Tasty debts are being accrued i see. Clearly, like many clubs, they're just chasing their rightful place in the Prem. Seriously, one day we'll be one of the few clubs to be stable and looking down our noses as the debt merchants filling the lower leagues, talking of their 2 season flirt with the big boys, and how they "belong" higher up the leagues. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bristol_city/8341172.stm

Looks as if their stadium will get the go-ahead tomorrow. I imagine the Gasheads will be watching the result of that vote with as much interest as the City fans.

Unfortunately, like ourselves, they've got an owner in Lansdown who is worth a few quid, so he can put his hand in his pocket to cover the losses.

But you must now that their average crowd will grow towards 25 - 30 000 as soon as they get promoted. All of the west country will follow them with renewed passion once they are back where they belong. The whole of Noth Somerset will have a Prem team to follow

I cannot argue that a city the size of Bristol should have a Premier side but the pattern of fuck ups and history of 'close but no cigar' proves otherwise. Easy stick another 10k of fans if they make it.

We've just posted a GBP3million loss so maybe we shouldn't claim to be stable. They also own their ground. But one thing they - and the rest of the West Country for that matter - don't have is our glorious history

Planning permission approved, but it looks as if there are still a few proverbial spanners in the works. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/8342965.stmI think we should all be thankful that there are two clubs in Bristol. As a one club city, Bristol would almost certainly have regular top flight representation. Divide & rule.

Anyone know if that reptile shop in Old Town sells them?

Pumbaa - i obviously can't do irony in my posts. Living in NS as i do, that's the sort of line that's been fed for 25 + years. That and the fact that sometimes there only appears to be one team in Bristol
