Have to say a lot of it seemed to be down to the police again, although I'm sure the Spurs fans weren't all blameless
Spurs fans shouting at police was followed by heavy handed baton whacking resulting in chair throwing. Partly self defence, partly idiocy!

Note that both in Rome and Seville the police are in riot gear, probably been told to expect trouble, and even the slightest thing seems to kick the police off.
When was the last time police were in riot gear in Engliah grounds?
Yet, in both the return matches in England, there will be very few police inside the ground, and will be no trouble.
Saying that, the biggest crime of the night was the penalty Seville was given. What was the ref on giving that ?

Police in riot gear are quite often around at English games, even STFC games.....they're just held back in case of need . The second half at Seville passed off seemingly peacefully after the police withdrew.

Spoke to a mate of mine out in seville last night(no he isnt a hooligan either) said they were late getting in the ground and got rushed by police..What started it was because the spurs fans STOOD UP to sing and the ob waved in..We thought pat butcher was bad in the town end
