we should have known better really. this was what was said when Crosby left:
The manager admits he had several names in mind to replace Crosby, but an approach to pal Mick Harford proved unsuccessful, while he feels experienced defender Alan Reeves is not yet ready.
“Mick Harford was my first choice, but it would be a very hard decision to leave Luton,’’ added King.
“I think Reevesy needs that 12 more months learning curve.
“He hasn’t really had a coaching period and he needs that, but he will have more imput this year.
“I’m going for someone local and I’m not going to work with someone I don’t know.

http://www.thisistherobins.com/news_headlines_Story.asp?NewsID=3275 conclusion, king was always going to go for someone like reeves if things didn't work out and he couldn't get harford in. What i think is quite unprofessional is the fact he said "i'm not going to work with someone i don't know."
Nothing like getting the best man for the job Andy :-))(
