It may be on the cards in the longer term, but ideally we want someone to come in now and apply some motivation, discipline and up to date coaching methods to the bunch of slackers that represent our club.

I suppose Woan might have something up his sleeve.

I'd like to see Woan given a chance as assistant  if we can't afford anyone else. Especially after seeing the way he knocked in those penalties on saturday. That was class, every one of them in the top corner.
He has played at every level, so must know a thing or two about coaching.

Still got a contract thing to sort out with Forest.

Spot on Reg. When Harford has sorted his Forest severance package he'll be first choice to join King.

Walsh parted company by mutual consent is on the official site.

Makes sense to me.

And in the meantime, who knows how our stumble towards the play offs will pan out.

"At this point in time I am not looking to fill the Assistant Managers job at the moment but Alan Reeves and Ian Woan will be taking on added responsibility. Another thing that I will say is that I am not going to move to Director of Football for anyone, let me make that clear."

It's even worse than we could have expected, we've got rid of an assistant manager with no plans to bring in a new one and giving a couple of people with NO coaching experience whatsoever, let alone any qualifications, to coach the first team. At least Iffy has some of the coaching badges.

Read Woan's interview:

"It is a short term arrangement until a replacement for Mike Walsh can be found and I will then be happy to return to my role as Youth Team coach."

King simply says he is not looking for a replacement just yet, possibly just waiting till Harford has sorted things out with Forest. It's not worse than we could have expected, Reeves could easily have been taking over as manager.

For fucks sake, why did we need these pre-announcemet statements as a prelude to sacking Walsh?!
