ager!

(Like what I did there?)

No one told me that he was manager at Lillestrom in Norway.  Only reading the old Rivals site that I found out.

KING OUT Fjortoft IN

Reminds me anyone remember a rumour a few seasons back, possibly under Colin Todd, that we where attempting to re-sign Jan?

Fjortoft would be a bit soft of a manager.
Now, Mr buzz cut of beavis and butthead would be good.

I seem to recall when this was first announced to the world a while back JA was to be a sort of Director of Football and Uwe Rosler was the coach......I may have been at my kids crack pipe again though.

I severely doubt that.  He has a right reputation everywhere he has played bar for the Town as an awkward outspoken git.

Think he took over the reins back in December Reg.  Had a quick snoop through their results last season and Uwe didn't appear to be doing to well in charge at all.

Isn't 'severly doubt' the right turn of phrase?

Well he's got a good opportunity to make a name in the managerial world, as Lillestrom haven't won the league since 89, whilst Rosenborg have won it 14 out of 15 since, including the last 13 years in a row......Viking Stavanger succeeding in 91.

I was talking to my mate about this the other day, the prospect of luring Jan back as manager, now that would be amazing.  Surely the fans would love to see an ex-legend like Jan in charge!!

Whenever I meet a norwegian I always mention Jan, and apparentley before taking the Lillestrom job he was a bit of a Norwegian Gary Lineker on TV.  Well liked and respected, maybe if he did ever manage us he could bring some up and coming norwegians with him.

The last thing I'd want is Fjortoft as manager, he's my all time favourite Swindon player so I don't want that spoilt by him coming here and failing as manager. Very few managers stay popular for long. Jan must stay a legend.

He's not doing to bad at all out there from what I can tell (Norweigan is a tad rusty).

Seems to have improved results from last time I looked.

Lillestrom are hardly a bad side either. One of the top teams over there so may be worth a stab when King does go (whenever that may be!)
