Tranny fans were also good sports when we won the PO semi at their place. Well, we actually lost but won on aggregate.

They weren't best pleased when the floodlights packed in at the CG though. Leading 2-1? Lost the rearranged game 2-0 with loads of bookings for dissent. Also felt hard done by when they were denied a promotion following our reinstatement back to Div 2 in 1990.

Yeah, but was in the pub outside Prenton Park (The Clipper?) before and after the game and they were pretty good in the circumstances.
Certainly better than a 'well known' Swindon fan who nutted our minibus driver at Barnsley just because he had a Celtic shirt on.

6m because he's at a Premier League club, when there are likely to be dozens of better left backs in the Football League (sorry, EFL).

Seriously that is just fucking mad though isn't it. 22 years old, 21 appearances, 11 of them at lowly Swindon and 6m is being spunked on him. The gap between leagues is just ridiculous. He'll probably prove me wrong and go on to have a stellar career now.

Does seem a lot of money, Joe Allen (in the European Cup team of the tournament) sold for £13m and Brad Smith £6m! Thought he was decent enough with pace but not somebody I would not want us to even punt a £1m on! Has to be said that those transfer figures are paper/tv talk, and just like STFC you will never know the truth!

The Bournemouth paper suggests the fee is £3m.

£3,000,001 when they give you that donated £1 back from a few years back If they donated about £50 (that we all probably gave them) to Town, admitted Ritchie didn't want to go there, and got a special shirt commissioned for their next season's no 10 that just says "SORRY" on the back and "we know we're a pissy little club that don't deserve top flight football" on the front, I might forgive them. But they won't, will they? Wankers.
