Who is Steve King - also 20/1?

Probably best to stick a tenner on him just in case.

So this is genuine then, or bullshit?

Fuck knows, probably bullshit. I do have a sneaky feeling Dowie and Fitton could be a match made in heaven.

Saw Dowie last week walking through Eastleigh...in shorts,it was freezing as well, think he still lives there from his Saints days...only an hour to commute.Would be a good appointment, hes highly regarded and wont take no messing from players or chairman.

Whether it's true or not, the odds have gone down to 16-1. For what it's worth, he'd probably do a job, but reading between the lines of Watkins statement, it may be someone relatively low profile. Dowie, I'd say, is fairly high profile, and doesn't exactly have a track record of bringing stability to clubs.

Yeah, I said he did apologise to the fans who contacted the club, he was forced to though.
Well, he certainly wasn't forced to apologise to that fan - actively sought him out from what I've heard and apparently Fitton hasn't spoken to him today, so that kind of undermines the other part of your tale about "Fitton forcing him to apologise". Might want to check your sauces mate.
