Well done to Broad..he should be in every match now....can someone tell me how you expect an opener to bat his best when hes been behind the stumps for 4 hours.....complete joke,oh and Shah is a good batsmen...at number 6 perhaps.
Well he's got the licence to go and have a bit of a swing, if it comes off great, but in theory there are plaenty of other batsmen if it doesn't. 4 hours of concentrated work....poor dear if that wears him out...how many hiurs does the tacho let you drive?

You cant belittle the fact that having to go into bat straight after spending for hours concentrating in the searing heat will have a negative effect on your batting

Yes, you've only got to look at Adam Gilchrist to see that.

prior's problem isn't that he has just kept, it's that he's not good enough to open in one-dayers, and never has been. he should be batting at 7/8

What a joke...bad light gets the match abandoned,4 floodlights...why cant they switch them on! No wonder people dont get interested in cricket with this kind of thing going on. India win on a faster scoring rate.

Agreed - this is the first match of the three we looked like we might have had a vague chance of winning. Pants.

If Owais Shah doesn't start the Test Series and Collingwood does, I will be having serious words.

They should be on the next plane home. The suggestion that the two tests can go ahead after whats happened in Mumbai is laughable.
