Mckirdy on the byline crossing after Wakeling shot was saved.
At about 2 mins 10 secs

Wakeling seemed to get in good positions, and linked quite well with McKirdy. Looks to have something about him, but seemed to contrive to hit the goalkeeper a lot. He also seemed to be lacking that little zip that takes you away from the defender and creates space for a shot - Something that I've thought about Parsons too in the past (and also in the second half highlights here)

The guys on the Tom Broadbent Lounge thingy that were commentating along (and were pretty good to be fair to them) said that Wakeling had a look of the Jerry Yates about him

Was he the one who ran into and headbutted the post, that might explain his limited zip?

That was the first comparison I made when I saw the highlights, similar skillset too it appears as well as build and style.

Thought Wakeling had a quiet game overall at the time but then looked quite lively from the highlights!

Yeah, similar build and look to Yates and hopefully the same impact on the pitch.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Intelligent and unselfish play for Harry's first goal. And was cleaned out in the process. Also brave when he headed the ball which the keeper saved point blank, and then he smacked his noggin off the post. That looked painful!

The most interesting thing today will be if Reed and McKirdy play. If either/both don’t play they’re off, I reckon.
