I think that some people may be mis-reading the promotion within 3 years thing. My understanding is that AF wants us to acheive promotion asap, BUT he is not naive enough to think it will be easy, regardless of finances/players.

If we get to the playoffs it'll be a massive achievement, considering what the clubs been through.

But I won't be too disappointed if we don't as I now know the club is going in the right direction.
