Soz, I didnt really look back too far into the thread....but at the end of the day, you can never have too many (bad) puns.....

(There is no pun in this reply, although it does look like there are multiple TT song titles hidden within it)

Thought I'd chuck this in here...

Former Chelsea defender Albert Ferrer is looking to start his managerial career in England - preferably in the Championship, but he will "consider the lower divisions". (Times)

From bbc gossip column.

I want Dave Byrne, he would be a once in a lifetime appointment and would make sure we didnt end up on the road to nowhere.

Ferrer does a lot of Sky Spanish football and I did wonder what he does with teh rest of his time and if he's still England based.  He talks sense, but so did MM.

Maybe could do a Martinez, a gel a shed load of Spaniards with local talent, although I think he'd be more Barca than Espanyol.

We'd have to get fB back into Los Gatos for the inside line on what was happening at the CG.

According to 5Live they're also reporting today that Curbishley has been sacked as Charlton manager Roll Eyes Presumably just after their shocking expose on safety concerns about the Titanic. Large sackfuls of salt required for anything appearing in the nationals methinks

Parkinson was quite highly rated for his work with ColU....thought he was taking a step up with Hull, but it went rapidly pear shaped.

Had a chance to take Uddersfield, but stuck with Charlton as AM, probably because he's got a fat contract until 2010.

Too low key for our baying hordes...if they hadn't heard of MM, Sweatie legend, they'll certainly not know of Parkinson...Reading legend.

Aidy Boothroyd.

Its got to be. Fuck all this 'hes a long ball merchant' rubbish. He is top quality.

Game can do without Pardew. An expensive load of hot air.

I suppose you never know, but I'd have thought Boothroyd could expect something along the lines of a CCC club.

But this is the manager rumours thread!

I don't know too much about Parkinson's style of football and merits/failures.

Boothroyd -  more likely to end up at a bigger club I'd have thought (Charlton?).

I see that ex Derby & Preston manager Billy Davies is supposed to be on the list, he's looking to get back into football, would be a good appointment.
