I can't help but think the only way we can beat the Aussies is to get Pietersen in as a gamble.
Even as a Somerset man I think Tresco has to be expendable.....Thorpe has one last Ashes seiries in him....no doubt the Aussies repect him. One out of two isn't bad......I'd publically like to apologise to Tresco for doubting him....I'd hve liked to see Thorpe on monday arounnd 12:00 mind. |

Looks like I was right again.
Pietersen is a class fielder and a superb catcher. I know he had a shocker in this series but it means fuck all. Don't you remember the one-day and Twenty20 series when he took several quality catches and I've seen him pull off a few stunners at county level. It's like saying Bell is a bad batsman because he didn't score runs. Both will be fine, don't panic.
