Bob Mould in London tonight.
Definitely not a tribute act.

Thought it might be a tribute to this fella....

No draft cos that would be daft a feather acknowledges Newton,
and a ball and chain let loose on the pane can only smash your nerves!
In the hibernating season pick the best - it stands to reason.
No complaining when it's raining thanks to Mr Moult. Hurray!

 Cheesy

Bob Mould / Ted Moult  is a bit tenuous given your usual high standards NMH.
Take it easy, get back on the bike & await the very positive gig attendance posts in March next year.
Whatever happened to...... Wink

Interesting. I understand.
One original member plus lead vocalist / guitar who has been in post for longer than their original counterpart plus 2 key members no longer with us, it's a moot point for sure.
JJB's thoughts will be pertinent ahead of the tour next year.
News of which, I'll admit, did take me by surprise.

Dont get me wrong, they are still good live. But then, so is Hugh Cornwell.

In recovery after a double header in Bristol.

The ever excellent Charlatans on Wednesday followed by Sleaford Mods last night.

I'm bit late to the party when it comes to the Sleaford Mods. Forget all about the aches & pains in a thoroughly enjoyable 90 min set. Great crowd in as well.

Also quite refreshing to not have to put up with some anxious guitar tech pacing up & down the stage like an expectant father & tuning the same instrument every couple of minutes beforehand.

I can just imagine the last sentence being a lyric from a Sleaford Mods song!  Grin

Saw Tom Allen (stand-up comedian) a week ago and he was absolutely brilliant.

Have just booked tickets for Simon Brodkin, Lucy Beaumont, and Julian Clary (as he was so funny on Taskmaster).

Brodkin was alright in his previous incarnation as Lee Nelson but should be given some kind of award for this stunt he pulled on Sepp Blatter:

Josh Pugh is also great (saw him live about 6 months ago) and is on this episode of Live at the Apollo, with Beuamont and Ria Lina, who I hadn't heard of, and all 3 are very good in their performances here:

Im currently in Saudi.  I was most surprised that a mate of mine was out tour managing the comedian Paul Chowdury yesterday so I went to the show.

Pretty good but the show was very tailored towards the locals and Asian contingent in the crowd.

I find his stand up a bit meh. Seems funnier on other tv show appearances

Well I laughed a few times.  Id now be interested to see what its like to a UK audience.  It really was 'Pakistanis do this and Indians do that' heavy.
