Seen em too,as tribute bands go one of the best

They are very good, but Limehouse Lizzy are the best tribute band I’ve seen.

I think in both cases they’ve been going longer than the original bands Smiley

Gang of Four in Brum tonight.
This version is minus Andy Gill of course but plus Jon King & Hugo Burnham.
All set for some Situationist pounding of a microwave.

Went to see Phil Wang last night.

He was good, but I’m not sure he was that good that I’d rush back to see him again.

He bores me a little TBH, seen bit of his live show and I dont think I would cross the street to see him again. Managed to geta couple of freebies for Jason Manford in Bournemouth next year, nice, he is probably the best stand up we have seen and a lovely bloke too. Not sure I would pay £65 per ticket though, hes good but thats silly prices.

I saw Phil Wang, possibly before he was famous, at the banana cabaret above a pub in Balham many years ago now. Marcus Brigstock was the MC and both him and Wang were bloody hilarious. I suspect Wang's a bit of a one trick pony as I saw him in the Battersea Arts Centre when our very own Ivo Graham was MC, and he wasn't as good.

I've also seen Jason Manford JJ, he's very good also. I think we paid £15 for our tickets, again yonks ago when I lived in London.

I know he has several fans on the TEF, sad to hear that Mark Steel has mouth cancer. Get well soon.

We go to a lot of comedy shows, there’s a monthly comedy club we go to & then try  to get to anything else localish.

Saw Jimmy Carr a couple of weeks ago, and had tickets for Ivo next week but it’s been rearranged due to the theatre having RAAC issues

I know this is going to reinforce the view that some have on here as my being some sort of tofu eating part of the wokerati, but did you read the piece he wrote about it in the Guardian, made me quite emotional  Sad

No I have never read a page of the Guardian ever TBH online or in print.

Its good he can joke about it and the operation apparently went as well as could be expected I hear.

David Squire, a Town fan living in Australia does a regular football based cartoon that's worth searching out JJ. He's done a couple of Swindon based ones in the past.

You probably already know this so apologies in advance!

That's probably for the best mate. You must have dipped into the Adver historically though, surely?

The Adver isnt a newspaper Cheesy (I should have said national newspapers really) I have written a few articles related to football for the the Adver, but I havent really been back since it went pay per view for many articles.

It was just an abridged version of this. https://marksteelinfo.com/cancer/
