Somewhat late mentioning it but Kings of Leon were top notch last week at the O2.

Had the pleasure of attending Download this weekend, anyone else here go?? Cracking weekend as ever with some incredible live performances. Slipknot absolutely owned the weekend, Corey Taylor had 90,000 in the palm of his hand and it was pure carnage, yet also quite emotional. He has to be the greatest frontman of his generation!

Still don't get the fuss over Iron Maiden though. Or Motorhead for that matter. Maybe I'm just too young! Oh and a special mention for Rammstein as well who put on the most insane show I've ever seen. Everything on stage was, at one point, on fire and their singer essentially sodomised their keyboard player on stage. Nuts. Germans are weird.

You are too young.  Slipknot are great and Maiden and Motorhead, you don't get? Wrong way round to these aging ears.

Saw Elvis in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely brilliant. First time I'd seen him since Xmas 1980. Inspired me to dig out some of my old vinyl.

Used to be a really big fan of Costello, but his stuff over the years has been really hit or miss. North was the last thing I bought and Momufuku the last thing I heard. Does he have something new out and is it any good?

Me too.  Apart from the shitfaced thing.  Im on Tour managing duties for Billy Bragg so have a headline slot in the leftfield on the Friday and a 12.30 slot on the pyramid stage on the Saturday.  Then Im free to swan around backstage laying traps to harm mumfords the following day.  Think Ill stay for the rest of the weekend.

Posh fake wurzel cunts. Upping the tempo of the banjo does not mean you're good at writing songs.
