Title: Brazil v Germany Post by: kerry red on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 17:27:13 Dont know about anyone else, but I shall be cheering on the Hun tonight.
Never thought I would ever do that, but Brazil are a bunch of serial bruisers the likes of which I thought had been consigned to history. Argentina, hopefully, tomorrow and there may be a final worth watching. Brazil v Argentina would be shite Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: adje on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 17:34:33 agreed
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Nemo on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 17:37:21 Tell you what, I wouldn't fancy reffing Brazil v Argentina in the World Cup final in the Maracana. Going to make a lot of enemies whatever you do.
Both teams look very flawed, but Silva and Neymar missing is a big difference. Silva and Luiz together are a fantastic combination (stop laughing just because the BBC tells you Luiz is shit, he's not when he's alongside Silva, like how Cuthbert was great with Greer guiding him). Will be interesting to see if they change how they play... Really interesting game. Taking a look at the website of a prominent controversy loving bookmaker, I can tell you that the oddsmakers don't have a fucking clue who'll win either (2.75 Brazil, 2.80 Germany). 10/1 for the Deutsch on penalties looks tempting though. Worryingly for Brazil, Fred is their shortest odds striker to score first which will be difficult if he doesn't start moving occasionally. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 17:51:05 2-1 to us after extra time. We take a 1-0 lead, Brazil score with 10 mins go to, then Schürrle scoring in extra time
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: 4D on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 18:00:06 3-0 Germany
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Reg Smeeton on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 18:09:50 Apparently Brazil and Germany have only ever met once before at the WC, the 2002 final, how strange.
Further the Hun don't beat Brazil in friendlies very often either...can't see past a Brazil win tonight, even though they're unimpressive. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 18:13:25 Allez Germany
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Nemo on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 19:56:31 Brazil holding a Neyar shirt at the anthems...he's not fucking dead you lemons.

Obviously should have said this before kick off. Though I'm predicting double figures now. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: kerry red on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:26:04 Pissing this.
I'm sure all Brazil's introspective fluff regarding Neymar didn't do them any favours. 4-0 ! Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Sir Pissalot on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:26:38 Just like watching Brazil.
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Summerof69 on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:27:27 I thought Brazil had a world class central defender in David Luiz.
£50m !! Someone was surely having a laugh. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: kerry red on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:27:37 Stand by for riots after this
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Posh Red on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:27:57 Whilst Brazil miss Neymar, it's the lack of Silva that is killing them.

Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: jonny72 on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:31:20 Luiz is shit no matter who he is playing alongside.
Laughed a bit when the BBC billed him as the lynchpin of the Brazilian defence tonight. On a couple of the goals he's just been wandering about aimlessly flapping his arms. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Reg Smeeton on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:33:34 :hmmm: perhaps Brazil won't win :)
Title: Re: Re: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: horlock07 on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:34:00 Luiz is shit no matter who he is playing alongside. He's just Brazilian Jerel Ifil. Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: joteddyred on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:34:12 Brazil being utterly ripped apart.

Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Ginginho on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:34:49 If this was a 5-a-side game you'd swap a couple of players round to even it up a bit or give them an extra player. Laughable.
Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Nemo on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:35:58 Imagine roughly how gutted you'd feel if England were 5-0 down after 35 minutes in the semi final of a home world cup.

Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: kerry red on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 20:44:06 I know they want to make a showpiece of the semi finals, but it doesn't seem fair that the winner of this game will get an extra days rest before the Final

Luiz could and should've been sent off twice...and Chelsea cannot believe their luck in taking £50m from PSG. I still cannot get my head round PSG paying £50m for him. Unbelievable. On most of the German goals, Luiz is in the background slowly jogging towards the action, his hair bouncing, like he's filming a shampoo commercial or something. Any decent defender would be running like fuck to get back even if they're not going to get there in time. And, anyway, he was nowhere near as bad as Robben and diving against Gillingham isn't quite the same as on the world stage for all to see Title: Re: Brazil v Germany Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 11:49:49 Of course not.
