Well that was unexpected.  Very good performance, especially considering the lack of preparation.  Then again, we looked good against Rochdale last season, so best to keep expecting a struggle for now.

I thought it was blindingly obvious last season that Rochdale were totally hopeless and got shouted down on twitter for being negative for saying we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves.

Now while Sculthorpe are arguably a poorer side as well, they didn't even look as bad as Rochdale in the first game last season. They truly were an awful awful football team.

As we know first hand things can change very drastically and very quickly in football but let’s not lose sight of the fact that Scunthorpe finished 22/24 last season & beat the drop by 3 points (and bottom by 5 points)

Is there anywhere to watch the Cambridge game - apart from Cambridge itself?

If we can play like that in the first 4 or 5 games of the season and get some more good result slike yesterday then I will allow myself to possibly think we have the makings of a good team.

As it stands yesterday was a great result and we looked like a proper football team again unlike in any game that Sheridactly managed us in last season.

We looked confident, we pressed a bit, we passed well and kept the ball on the deck, we had 3 players making their league debuts, we had 5 players making their Swindon debut and the players that stayed looked pretty good, Gladwin made his 4th debut for us as well!

Payne, Grant and Gladwin if they get fitter and stay fit will boss most teams we play against this season if not all of them and Iandolo looked solid after a poor start early game he grew into it well.

Simspon looked weak 1st half but 2nd half looked exactly like the player we need, strong, fast with a nice touch and beat his man twice with strength and pace and set up McKirdys goal, who caused them problems all afternoon.

It was a very good solid all round footballing performance without getting carried away as Scunny were a poor team.

The Scunthorpe turn out of just 2,752 though was piss poor as we have sold almost that many season tickets inside of a week more or less.

Well, on the app it says iFollow audio only so I’m presuming they’re not allowed to broadcast it.

Does that mean it isn't available on ifollow full stop then? As in outside the UK its also audio only so VPNs and dodgy firestick apps won't suffice?

Having a read all the Carabou and PJT games are audio only in the UK or abroad, normally they are included and this is the first season they haven't covered them.

It's almost like they don't actually want to make any money.

This picture from yesterday tells you what it meant to the players as well as the fans.
