Not a star performance but a positive step in the right direction. Hope the lad gains confidence from this game and keeps going now. Second half his physical attributes helped the cause and assisted Smithy in the middle of the park. Onwards and upwards and we need all the players in the squad with games coming thick and fast. Get behind all of the lads I say.

Get behind all of the lads I say. I said in a previous post, he and Smith know their limitations. They kept it very simple today. They won the ball and just played an easy ball out to Richie/Caddis or De Vita and let them take it on from there. Horses for courses, know your limitations, play to your strengths. Text book stuff.

I've always thought he's a good player to have on the bench for defensive fresh legs when we've been under the cosh for 70 mins. If Paolo wants to shake up the middle of midfield I believe he should nip out Ferry/Smith replace them with McCormack and then put Risser or Devera is at the back, preferably Devera. It makes me feel uneasy when Risser starts because I think he's anonymous throughout most of the match and offers nothing going forward accept the odd wonder strike.

As for Risser - he's played 10 (+7) games in all competitios ffs. We've only lost two of those 'n all.

Risser was put in at Northampton to do a job and I thought he was doing it pretty well. I see the air shot been mentioned a few times but not once has anyone said anything about a handful of passes he made out to the wing for Raffa.

Spoke to Risser at the game today.
He has been threatened in Town twice since signing and has come home early from evenings out by certain "Town" fans having a go at him. Threatening him physically.
What is wrong with some people ?
Not nice when a player actually believes quote, "hated" at Swindon.
I mentioned the Ritchie incident at Northampton to balance things up. Had a long chat also with Jeremy Wray and have to say came over really well. Had a great laugh with him as well and made me smile when he said that our 2 previous Manager's just stood with arms folded after we scored and then I mentioned the other "extreme" Saturday which we both laughed at. Real positive guy.

I'd ask what's wrong with Risser as the last time I saw him out it was in The Kings Arms.
