Interesting comment by Sturrock in the WDP: -

"I know that the old board wanted the club to stay in this division, but the new owners may have different ideas."

I wonder how that would have affected season ticket sales, or potential signings, if they had made it public.

Does that not just mean that the old/current board wanted the club to escape relegation, and the new lot might be expecting promotion? Not necessarily that the current board didn't want us to get promoted.

Thats how I read it anyway.

hope it means the old board were expecting consolidation, but the new board are gonna give us the resources to get promoted
