Kings of leons new album - very underwhelming
dinosaur pile up album - quite decent
crystal fighters album which is one of the best albums i've heard all year, as is arcade fires

I got this today, it's brilliant.

It also reminded me that I need to check out Sparklehorse. Where do I start?
Is that the one with all the different collabarations which never got released? It really is fucking awsome isn't it.

How fucking sinister does Wayne Coyne sound on the first track?

I'm indifferent about it at the moment.

Still not back to the same sound as the first few albums, but at least it's a lot less poppy than the last one.

I quite like that one too!

But, can't turn off Killing Joke - Absolute Dissent. Best and most diverse album I've heard for a long while. European Super State being my favourite track.

Been listening to Steve Mason - Boys Outside whilst reading reviews on Amazon about 3Eps by Beta Band which has been positively received.

I only have Hot Shots 2 and Heroes to Zeros. Am I missing out here by not having 3eps?

Yes you are missing out. Champion Versions the first EP is a work of genius.

The Patty Patty Sound the second EP is also very good.

Just bought The Queen of Denmark by former singer of the Czars John Grant on Bella Union.  Its bloody marvellous.  Like Rufus Wainwright if he actually opened his mouth when he sang, stopped being sardonic and started being actually funny.  Darkly funny but funny all the same.
