The fucking scary thing is that whilst he due his width he looks short he is 5' 11" tall - the man is a proper unit.

Re. Akinfenwa, apparently he can bench press 180 kilos. I had to convert that to Imperial measurements for it to mean anything. It is 28.3451 stone. Unbelieveable.

He's always guaranteed to get the 'You fat bastard' chants wherever he goes but he's not fat, he's just built like a heavyweight boxer...

For the record I don't rate him but he is a fucking massive and always has a knack of scoring goals but his control is like that of a brick wall and he has the pace of an oil tanker.

Fans of all the clubs he has been to love him though, we almost signed him under Sturrock but he failed his medical.

Ha, wasn't having a go, just have a personal annoyance when footballers bulk up for no particular reason. Loads of them do it and 90% of the time it's unnecessary.

Think his touch is decent and he's good at ruffling defenders as he showed last night. If a team is launching it then he's a decent asset. Some good flick ons and mugged off premier defenders more than once last night. Gets in good scoring postions too. Obviously no good running the channels but that's why he plays for who he does.

Whatever his imitations might be a goal every 3 games for pretty much 10 years is nothing to be sniffed at

A man of AA's size should have a stupidly fast sprint speed over 30-40 metres, which is more than enough for a football player. NFL players are bigger than him and can run faster. His problem is he's spent too long on the bench press and not enough time on agility. Good scoring record though.

I think stopping may be more of a problem than the actual running part.

Actually listening to him after the game yesterday he seems like a decent bloke, like that he admits that he likes the hustle and bustle against the centre halves but is less keen on the tracking back.

Football needs more characters like him and whatever you think his record is decent!

I went to uni in Leicester and one of the highest profile courses was contour design.  Or in laymans terms lingerie design.  I did English.  But we did host the contour design fashion shows at the student union which was most pleasant.

So is that anything to do with the American Football 'lingerie league' I've noticed on ESPN? Young ladies, skimpily attired but with helmets (ooh vicar) and padding 'playing' grid iron? Designed in Leicester? Not that I've watched this stuff, of course...
