Has he gone yet?

Don't think we'll hear until tomorrow or post match at the earliest. Though I'm sure the question will be asked if BBC Wilts get an interview

Welcome back Reg.

Not many posts in recent times and I know you love a bad run of form.

Ribbing aside, I'd been a tad concerned for you.

Except you've managed to quote a post of his from 2011...

Pressure now on Power big time. Ground sale, stalled. Training ground approved but not the houses?, court cases. Attempted club sale. Promoted from the basement need to hold that to have any value in the club. Successful manger fucks off to a lower league team. Oh C19.

Where is Reg these days?

Not been on since last Thursday and doesn't appear to have posted since 13th October?

Hope the old bugger is OK!

I'm not bitter about it, managers come and go. But I thought Richie Wellens wasn't the type to jump at the first sniff of a job closer to home. He spoke a lot about loyalty but also put a lot of work into developing the club as a whole, not just the first team. He'll be a big loss, as a manager he can be replaced but it's the wider reaching areas that he worked on like getting re-engaging with fans that will be difficult to rebuild.

Smiley

Reg's posts don't change much and, like a stopped clock, they're actually appropriate twice a decade.

Absolutely seriously though, he's a distinctive contributor and I hope all is well with him.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

I don't know the man or the back story.  But I'm a Town fan. I'm quite glad now that I've been spared making a dick of myself worshipping him post promo at the CG

You're right, though.

I wish him all the best and thanks for helping to provide some great memories from last season.
Might have been a different story if not for Covid, who knows.

Career progression sometimes involves having to take a step or two back before moving forward again. Maybe.
Comforts of home. Possibly.
Getting to mingle with footballing heroes on a day to day basis. Could be.

Hoping for a replacement who doesn’t mind the bracing fragrance of fresh fertloizer wafting across the fields of Wiltshire. Must be better than the belching toxic fumes from the dark satanic mills.

Life expectancy for a male in Wiltshire is in the 80’s.
Somewhere like Greater Manchester for example it’s about 76.
Live longer, stick to Wiltshire.

Anyway, he’s gone now. Fuck him. Northern cunt.

This is hilarious: https://salfordcityfc.co.uk/richie-wellens-named-manager-03112021/

Joined them as he wants to win every week...

Love the bit about he'll provide a pathway for young players into the 1st team, he's shown absolutely no interest in our young players preferring to brings in young loan players instead.

Yeah that whole statement is horse shit. I love RW for last season but his departure, the way he's handled it and the destination club leave a bitter taste for sure.

Still, he was an unremarkable hire 2 years ago that turned out really well. Who knows where we go from here, but maybe we all learnt a lesson last time, and won't slag off the appointment immediately like we did with RW.
