Dodged a bullet Wink

My thought entirely  Wink Cheesy

His moaning and general deminer in interviews has rather got on my tit ends this season I must admit!

Fucking hell its one of the top stories on the football bit of the BBC website, he is going to have to get used to a bit more pressure and scrutiny than he has faced here!

I’d like to see someone who is used to ‘firefighter’ situations - last time we trusted a rookie manager in League 1 we were relegated.

What’s Martin ‘mad dog’ Allen doing these days?

George Burley just been seen at the CG

Would Lee Johnson be realistic? Out of work at the mo and know the division and the one above. He used to manage City but hes alright now? We prob wouldnt offer enough wage I know... ah it'll be Hunt wont  it.

*edit: feel free to move this to next manager thread..

I said this before the season started and Salford were chucking even more money at players than they had done previously, but it’s even more pertinent now...I’ll laugh my cock off if Salford miss out on promotion this season.

Won't pretend I'm not gutted but we've some decent players for a new manager to come and manage. Gotta get it right though as League 1 is no joke as we've found out many times.

Would add if he gets it wrong at Salford it could prove to be a shocking career move. Dropping down a league and then ballsing it up wouldn't be a good look.

Got the Flitcroft situation written all over it!

I reckon Wellens had agreed to join them a while ago - hence them jettisoning Alexander for no apparent reason. Then he goes and gets Covid and there’s a 2 week delay. I know we’ve had a raft of injuries but Wellens has failed to address our defence during the summer which was/is L2 standard at best and we’ve struggled in all our games defensively.

Fuck off you Manc cunt! There I’ve said it.

It was easy for Wellens to be 'loyal' when we were top of the league. That's not loyalty, that's opportunism. Loyalty would be fighting this season out with a lower than expected budget and keeping us up.

I'm trying to supress concerns i have that this is about more than Wellens. Court cases coming up again soon etc.

At least compo for a manager departure will be coming in to the club rather than going out this time.

I’ll give Wellens a chance to have his say before deciding whether I still like him or whether he becomes another ‘meh’ ex-Town manager. I’m hoping ‘family’ is the deciding factor for him.

If we do go for a new man, Mike Flynn would be a good shout, but as he’s in a job, unlikely.
