add to that our manager leaving for bigger things at Mansfeild Suicide

There's far too many variables to come to that conclusion. I think that's actually quite obvious.

Obviously no statement from the club as yet ?.
Unlikely the club will make a statement based upon speculation purely from betting odds.

Would Power accept an approach from Mansfield?

We should be a bigger club than Mansfield but the geography works for Flitcroft. Wasn't it suggested in the summer that we lost out on players to them as well?

No shed tears from me if he goes.

To be fair to Reg, he was probably born about 60 years or so too late.  He'd have been much more at home seeing the Monarchy and Empire collapse, the rise of the Unions, Swindon being one of the best teams int he Country playing exhibition games in France to grow the game internationally, the birth of the NHS and expansion of the railways and the rise of the Labour party to power.

Instead he's had to watch Swindon decline to the fourth division, the mines close, Globalisation, 100 odd years of Thatcherism, kids having their school milk taken away from them, jumpers not being good enough for goalposts anymore, and some upstart non league team up the road usurping our historical rivals and playing in a higher league than us every o often.

I'd have missed the sex and drugs and rock and roll... and Wembley 69.  Being a 1920's "bright young thing" could have been fun, but you had to be fading aristocracy, to get accepted there... no working class, not even DH Lawrence.

As the old saying goes,  there's no smoke without fire, or as father says - You never see a bookie on a bike !.

Maybe stupid,  but true.

No, it's not true. That's why it's stupid.

It lends credence to any old gossip or rumour. In most cases, there IS smoke without fire, metaphorically speaking of course. The chances are that it's a name picked out of thin air by a hack wanting to fill content, or a bookie looking to make money from bets.

Or maybe after Power thought he could get Evans off Mansfield, it's Radford giving a bit of payback.

That was my first thought on this when I read Flitcroft being linked, a bit of an unsettling of the manager as we did to them pre season.

I don’t really give a stuff, but he’s a cunt anyway. He was never going to get us anywhere in L1 if we did get promoted.

Microwave, me hairy arse.
