The brilliant Tyneside Cinema up here in Newcastle are doing a 25 hour film marathon, 75p per film with some crackers included. Going to be splendid fun.

I watched the latest Harry Potter a few nights ago.  In this instalment, some specky kid with a magic stick takes his pretty blonde friend and the ginger chess club geek on a meaningless quest to find some small boxes that they must open and whack the contents with sticks.

That sounds brilliant.

I'm going to A Night at the Opera, Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill!, Peeping Tom and Citizen Kane. Probably going to do a couple more.

Animal House on ITV4.  Belushi at his best.

If you miss it, don't worry.  It'll be on pretty much every day for the next two weeks...

I watched both.

Reservoir Dogs, which I've seen before, reminded me how awesome Steve Buscemi is.

Rumble Fish, which I hadn't seen before and purchased solely because Tom Waits has a minor role in it, was far better than I expected and is visually one of the most striking films I've watched. The high contrast B&W cinematography is beautiful.
