District 9 was pretty enjoyable, especially considering the Apartheid/racial tension undertones. In this respect I thought it was a very clever film.

Yeah, clearly based on events in District 6 (http://www.districtsix.co.za/frames.htm).  Very enjoyable until the last, silly, half hour.

No such thing exists.

How can people not 'get' district 9? It's all quite self explanatory to me.

I enjoyed District 9, I really hope they don't make a sequel as I quite liked the up in the air ending.

They probably will because the film industry will demand it - due to the sack load of cash the first took at the box office.

Plus the majority of brain dead film goers always need to be spoon fed conclusions.

If you want a really "psychologically scary movie" try a french film called "Martyrs", you will either hate it or be effected by it, there is no way you can enjoy/love it, either way it will stay with you.  Watch it soon before they figure out how to remake and ruin it in Hollywood.

I watched Lymelife the other night, and The Counterfeiters last night.  Both very good.  That is all.

Watched The Other Guys starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg on Friday morning.

It was pretty funny and as usual there are a couple of memorable Ferrell quotes. Good performances overall but I wouldn't say it's as good as it's being billed to be.

Watched Outlaw last night with Bean and Dyer.
Was expecting to turn it off after 5 mins but found myself enjoying the film...not brilliant by any means but a decent thought provoking film.

Watched Brazil the other night, a typical Gilliam headfuck.

I watched Outlaw the other night. I thought the plot was very unconvincing, mainly because I couldn't get my head round why any of the characters would do what they were doing. But it was entertaining enough.

I also watched another film with Sean Bean in the other night called The Dark. Started off well and very creepy but it had very little substance by the end and I soon switched off.
