44 Inch Chest was decent. Ray Winstone in a kind of Lock Stock meets 12 Angry Men. There's not much action at all in the film, but some of dialogue is very well written. John Hurt was ace as 'Old Man Peanut'.

Agree with Mex on 44 inch chest, perhaps because I had somewhat high hopes for it from the trailer. Very disappointing imo.

So t'o continue my regular series on childrens films, Toy Story 3 (in 2d bollocks to the gimicky 3d shit - especially when the glasses dont fit on kids so they never wear them)
As good as the others, never been the biggest fan but can see why some are. A good story, with good jokes and the requisite bit to make the grown ups cry. Kids did not go to the toilet once during the film (well they didn't leave to the cinema to do so and didn't smell too bad so I presume they didn't) so thats a good indication that they were engrossed.

Went to see Inception last night, but having got near the front of the queue it sold out. So I got roped into watching that Twilight rubbish instead. It was even worse than I thought, I fear the levels of oestrogen being recycled through the air conditioning system will cause my knob to fall off in the not too distant future.

I went to see Inception tonight (and actually did watch it).
A clever film, perhaps too clever for its own good. It took such a long time to create and unravel the complexities within the film that I can't say I enjoyed it as much as I thought I would.
I know lots of people saying a second viewing would be preferable to piece everything together, so perhaps my brain worked a bit too hard to work out what was happening and not relaxing enough to enjoy the film at face value. Aside from the intentionally ambiguous ending which is not designed to have a definitive answer, I think once you break everything down it's actually surprisingly easy to understand what happened.
Overall I'm glad I watched it in so far as I probably won't watch a film like it and it the suspense of the films climax and how it was all brought together was very well thought out. But it wouldn't touch my top films of all time, or even from the last 10 years. I'll score it a commendable 7/10.
