I tried to watch Hurt Locker last night and had to turn it off too. One of the dumbest films I've ever seen.

It's funny how you watch films you saw years and years ago, then rewatch now, only to realise they're just completely and utterly absurd and stupid. I watched The Long Kiss Goodnight a few nights ago and some of it is just fucking ridiculous. It was also shit. I remember liking that 15 years ago.

The long kiss goodnight is an immense film.
Love watching the classics. On sunday there was smokey and the bandit, then Willy wonka.
And no it wasn't the gay channel.

On the flip side - they are a few you watch 15 year later for nostalgia and realise how much adult humour you missed when you were 8!

Right, part 27 in an ongoing series
Shrek Forever after today.
Put this franchise out of its misery. What else can they do. Extremely average and the kids went for 2 pisses. That shows how little interest they had. The 3d was average, scenes in it were purely 'lets have a chase scene as its 3d' type of scenes.
Hoping for much better from Toy Story 3.

Watched Toy Story 3 a few weeks ago. Properly good. I can't remember exactly how good the other 2 were, but do remember being blown away by the first and thinking the second was even better.
On a Shrek note, only the first one was good wasn't it? I remember loving the first, and being bored by the third. Don't recall the second though.

Waltz with Bashir - really good. enjoyed it, if you can say that.
A Single Man - very good. really enjoyed it.
The men who stare at goats - ok-ish. nothing to write home about.

Yeah I caught Diving Bell and the Butterfly too, Mathieu Amalric is brilliant in it.
Watched The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus earlier, it was typical Terry Gilliam stuff. Good how they saved the film post-Ledger.
Tom Waits is great as Mr. Nick though.

Mathieu Amalric was in Mesrine as well wasn't he. Took me a while to work that out, but he's a damn good actor.

Vincent Cassel is in Mesrine (and La Haine), not Amalric.
Amalric was in Munich and Quantum of Solace.
Both great actors.

Just watched A Good Year with Russell Crowe. I quite liked it. A bit too sickly and sentimental for many I expect, but I like that shit as much as the next girl.
