I watched Seven Pounds last night. It was 2 hours of slow burning rubbish, which turned out to be a film about redemption and atonement. The whole film is absurd and the search for 'deserving' people is idiotic.

I saw Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America the other night which was enjoyed. Tis very long and I was frustrated with scenes that Leone chose to exclude but it was well worth watching.

Watched Shooter on Channel 4 last night. Really enjoyed it, but then i expected it to be gash. The 2 birds in it probably helped as well, because they were tasty. Properly tasty.

I like Shooter, seen it 3 times in the last year. Watched Knowing Friday night, christ that is bad, i reckon a 10 year old scripted that. Also saw Race to Witch Mountain today, kids film but pretty good. Going to watch The Deer Hunter later, haven't seen that for about 20 years

This is one of my top 3 films of all time. Its a bloody long film which seems to go nowhere for the first 30 - 45 minutes but builds up the charachters well. Its one of those films I think about for a few days after I've seen it. Great script, great acting. Classic.

watched gamer last night, it was OK-ish, bit of a no brainer which i like on a sunday evening.

basicly a futuristic film where some dude has developed a first person computer game but you actualy control humans in a real life environment, basicly civs pay to take convicts on death row and such through 30 odd levels of a FPS and if they make it all the way througth they get set free.

Weekend films...

In glorious basterds - each individual chapters varying from good to brilliant, some of them (1st one and the bar one) are real sweaty palm stuff. Film as a whole, pretty good.

Moon - Intersting, if not fantastic - pretty good.

Hurtlocker - sames comments as basterd really, lots of great indiviual chapters, but didnt quite come together as a film for me, more like a brilliantly directed docu drama. Maybe that was the idea.
