'Nick & Norah's...' trys to be a hip indie comedy, a High Fidelity for the youngsters but in truth it was a standard teen flick with an okay soundtrack. It was poor.

Mongol was interesting, not bad but as i know fuck all about medieval mongolia it kept me hooked. 6 /10
I just finished watching this and i am slightly dissapointed. There is so much missing from this film, which is a shame. Some really cool battle scenes though and they could seriously ride horses with skill. Ghengis is also portrayed as a nice guy in this film which im sure he was'nt

I watched Synecdoche, New York last night - it was just insanely bizarre... You wouldn't expect anything else from Charlie Kaufman but wow this was odd. But I enjoyed it

The Day The Earth Stood Still – Not as shit as expected but still a pile of dross. Not seen the original but by Christ the ending was predictable, tedious and made me want to rub salt in my eyes. 4/10
In The Loop - British political comedy satire. No idea how it ended up on my Love Film list and expectations we’re low given the premise but it was actually very good in parts. Not laugh out loud stuff but some quite quirky comedy tucked in there with some brilliant performances from the cast. Well worth a look if you’re after something a little different and a comedy devoid of knob jokes. 7/10

classic film, yes it was banned in the US for some time, its up there with my top 10 films
have you seen ken park? kids was good for amazing cinematography and an awesome soundtrack but the film itself was a bit flimsy. i'm not sure it's a film you're meant to enjoy though, so perhaps i was left with the intended feeling. rewatched withnail & i at the weekend, much as i understand why people hate the whole sixth form student cult surrounding the film, it never fails to amuse me.

Mama Mia.
Quite liking musicals and being a bit of a not so secret Abba fan I downloaded this yonks ago. After watching it once I made sure that it was tucked away towards the back and hoped that it would get lost amongst the dust and grime or maybe even eaten by a cockroach or something else that likes eat DVD's.
My misses just found it though and after a quick clean she is now watching it and it fucking well woorks perfectly, bugger, fuck shit tit wank cunt toss anus bellend.
I think that I might check the disc for its frisbee qualities once finished.

Mama Mia is a big steaming pile of dogshit. Make sure you lose it as soon as you can BR - I share your pain. The original of The Day The Earth Stood Still is class. As well as the story its interesting to look back at 50s America.

I have never watched Mamma Mia and don't intend to. It was on at the cinema for so long I had to stop going because I was being nagged each week to watch it. This is one of the reasons I don't have a girlfriend.

It was a film I expected not to like but I really like that film. As you say, I can understand why people wouldn't like it, cult films have a tendency to be a bit marmite.
