Had an unscheduled night without the kids, so a 'date night' as the awful american expression goes.  Took the wife to see 12 years as a slave.  Fuck me.  Harrowing to say the least.

Brilliant film, amazing performances, but not exactly one to get the little lady in a romantic mood.

I have a choice of that, Railwayman or Wolf of Wall Street for this weekend. 12 years does sound pretty amazing.

Mostly a 2 hour torture scene.  But that particular scene is pretty harrowing.

Don't recommend much, in fact the last one I reckon was Office Space about 10 years ago. Anyway for anyone with Lovefilm Instant, just watched 2 very good ones. God Bless America, about a guy who gets pissed off with people being rude and stupid and decides to kill them all. And The End a Spanish film about a group of friends in the mountains and something weird happens (reminds me of the Stand a bit, but with better looking women)

I've watched two 'ok' films this week. Vendetta and wolf of Wall Street.

Vendetta was gruesome but typical Brit film with Danny Dyer.

This is a long thread, so apologies in advance if I'm repeating.
Watched Primer recently, can anyone explain?
Loved it, but not got a clue...

There is an entire thread on time travel films on the forum somewhere, someone posted a link/explanation on that I think.

I've got a free Sky Movies trial through Now TV. The added a few movies recently , one called Spring Beakers. Seduced by the idea of scantily clad 19 year olds I thought I'd give it a go.

Worst...Movie...Ever...

And stupidly I have some form of mental disorder that means I have to watch the film to the end.
