Is The Human Centipede particularly gruesome?

One of the creepiest things I've and I just don't get scared by horrors.

It's all subjective though. My misses literally screams at horror movies in terror but didn't even flinch once at the human centipede.

She didn't find it easy to sleep after a week or two though.

And in all honesty, I've just had a shudder even thinking about it.

Fair enough, think I'll give it a bash.

Read a review in the Daily Racist earlier about the sequel, usual moral outrage stuff you would expect from them but it said it was similar to first one.

Disclaimer - the paper was in our kitchen at work, I didn't buy it

I wouldn't say graphically gruesome, it was more, well, more the disgusting concept than grossed me out. But I still watched it until the end Smiley

Not seen the sequel yet.

The sequel was nowhere near as good.

The sequel is far fetched whereas the original was conceivable. That it could happen is what gave me the heebeejeebies after watching the first one.

*Another genuine shudder*

I watched it last week on the syfy channel. Not gory as such just the whole idea is pretty grim.  A lady that works for me is really into her grim horror films and she descibed the sequel as being a 100 times worse - which really makes me not want to watch it.

To be honest I am a complete wimp when it comes to films and I am surprised I watched it. As Flash said it makes you shudder when you think about it.

Just to change the tone of the thread slightly - I love the latest Muppets movie. I think it's the Bret McKenzie songs.

There's one trailer that I saw that used Coldplay's Paradise (wasn't the one posted), it was only about 40 seconds long, but it was truly astonishing how epic it was. Brilliant song for trailers that.

Thought the book was awful - film looks quite appealing.

I've not seen a star wars film all the way through - Is this an actual bit from the film?
