Although it's a Hollywood remake, The Departed is right up there as one of my favourite films. Possibly in my top 5.

Total Recall tomorrow. Not sure they should have remade it but I'm going anyhow.

Set on Earth apparently so probably won't stick too closely to the original.

Watched this last night for the first time. Great film.

Isn't the book based on earth though and it was the previous film that deviated from the actual story? Just curious, not nit picking.

And I'll watch it, not in the cinema, but whatever costs me no money, just for the incredible Beckinsale.

It's actually a sub-20 page story and has practically no adventure in it whatsoever. It gave the films the idea for the planting of memory and the fact the lead character had actually already experienced it, but nothing after that.

Has the remake got the woman with three tits in it?

Oh ok, that saves me finding and reading the book then. I should learn to Google more, rather than repeat things I'm told! Smiley

On a related note I've not long started Layer Cake, the book. Bloody love it so far, but then I thought the film was good.

A quick Google reveals that it was a Philip K Dick story, which I didn't know. Nor that The Adjustment Bureau and Minority Report were his as well, only one I knew was Blade Runner. Think I'll dig out some of his books.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but had to share this. Perfect description of the most stupid film made in the last ten years

Thought that Total Recall was watchable, but largely average.
