Saw Tree of Life last week, turned it off after 40 minutes, really is one of those films you will either be blown away by or hate with a passion

I thought Tree of Life was film as art rather than film as entertainment.
I was disappointed because I wanted to be entertained not go to an art gallery on a Saturday night.

The Artist I really liked - charming and entertaining.

As i've been off sick the last few days with a bad back, i've watched several films.
The Hurricane. An excellent film, similar in vein to The Shawshank Redemption (although not quite as good).
I've also crammed in 5 Star Wars films, which I also enjoyed a lot.

Just about to watch Apocalypto.

Is the Hurricane about the boxer? Like in the Bob Dylan song?

Yeah, that's the one, based on the life of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter.
Excellent film, well worth a watch.

The Hurricane is a decent film, but the real life Carter was a right bit of work.

I watched Real Steel last night. It was good fun in places but the fact they overdid everything got on my tits. Repetitively pushed the same points throughout the film too. The fighting bits were quite enjoyable though, but the Rocky copycat ending was terrible.

If you like robots and ‘feel good’ stories you’ll probably love it.

I was going to put if you like robots and a happy ending but that sounded a bit shady. Good to see you've stopped lurking!

High plains drifter. Clint as the no name bad arse cowboy again with a rather dodgy rape scene. i give it 8/10. Midnight cowboy was another one i watched this week and really enjoyed 8/10

Yeah, just finished it, thought it was superb.

Very graphic, well acted and engrossing.

Mel Gibson really does direct films well (ala Braveheart).

Perfect Sense. People start to lose their senses all around the world. All a bit bleak but interesting enough.

Connie Nielson, best looking women over 40!

Warrior was quite good if a tad long
