Warrior is probably my favourite of the films I've seen recently. Good mix of drama and action and the fight scenes were better than I thought they would be.

Liked the retro feel of Drive well filmed and a good story but ultimately didn't think the lead character did much to connect with the audience which was a bit of a negative.

I watched Goon the other week which surpassed my expectations and i really enjoyed it. Not a comedy which produced loads of laughs throughout but the storyline was respectable and not overly cheesy.

I think that was part of the point of it. With what is really a cliche script and cliche set of other characters, he was different and underplayed. Didn't you still want him to be alive at the end?

Just watched a French thriller, Point Break, well worth a go before it gets remade as a typical American action thriller.

Is that the one about the french surfer/adrenaline junkies who go around robbing banks for kicks dressed as old french presidents? Wink

I watched Man On A Ledge and Chronicle last week. Both decent viewing.

First one (district 13)  is much better.

Watched the first one the other day. It was better. Quite enjoyed them both overall, unusual for me when its subtitled!

i'm looking forward to seeing Iron Sky, i want to see it based on the tag line alone 'In 1945 The Nazis Went To The Moon. In 2018 They Are Coming Back', it could be one of those films that's so bad it's good

Yeah I get that. Just felt it was a bit wooden at times.

Watched Bridesmaids. Nothing special but better than a lot of the shit that's supposed to be comedy.

Me and some of the boys watched Troll Hunter online tonight,

It is both the best and only Norwegian film I have ever seen.

Did anyone go and see "The girl with the dragon tattoo" and was it any good ? Not sure if it is still on at the cinemas but have been promising to take my Wife so hoping it is still showing.

I did,

Good film, though i went on a first date to see it and it was quite possibly the worst film possible to have chosen.
Rape & Murder's galore!
