Warrior is probably my favourite of the films I've seen recently. Good mix of drama and action and the fight scenes were better than I thought they would be.
Liked the retro feel of Drive well filmed and a good story but ultimately didn't think the lead character did much to connect with the audience which was a bit of a negative.
I watched Goon the other week which surpassed my expectations and i really enjoyed it. Not a comedy which produced loads of laughs throughout but the storyline was respectable and not overly cheesy.

I think that was part of the point of it. With what is really a cliche script and cliche set of other characters, he was different and underplayed. Didn't you still want him to be alive at the end? Just watched a French thriller, Point Break, well worth a go before it gets remade as a typical American action thriller. |

First one (district 13) is much better.
Watched the first one the other day. It was better. Quite enjoyed them both overall, unusual for me when its subtitled! |
