Carrick has a Champions League winners medal - The modern pinnacle of football for many footballers.
He'll sleep at night.

Champions league is a bronze medal. Euros is silver. World cup is gold. He has picked up third place. Not a small feat by any means, but it's still third.

My point stands. Players don't like winning medals without playing, if England won he would have had little (if any) participation.
He'll sleep well.

Fair enough, I see your point.
But, snubbing the opportunity to have the possibility to Play for England is a terrible decision that could lead to future regret. Millions of our countries boys dream of that chance. To snub it, well, you get my drift.

Got Denmark in a sweepstake. They are in a group with Germany, Holland and Portugal.
That was a waste of £2.

Who knows. I bet someone did something similar in May 1992...

I had Portugal. I also was in a car accident the day of the final. It was not a good day.

Did you survive the accident?

I went to (a) Roosters in Krakow back in 2007. We spent the whole day there, food, beer etc and when we settled our bill it was something crazy like the equivalent of 10 Euro each!! I guess the price has gone up since then however.
It's still as cheap. About 7 zlotys for a beer.

Right, I have to do this Euro prediction thing which includes picking 5 goal scorers.
They get 10 points for each goal they score. My personal predictions have the following 4 teams making it to the semis (Holland, Italy, Germany and France) so I guess it would be good to have 5 goalscorers from these teams. Although maybe a Spanish player would be useful as well (Llorente?).
I am not really au fait with International football, although I personally think France will do quite well so Benzema is a must.
Any feedback gratefully appreciated.

My fours semi finalists would be Spain, France, Germany and Holland. The five goalscorers would be Villa, Benzema, Holland, One of Gomez or Klose (Not sure who Germany play), I would take a chance on Roman Pavleychenko. Russia in the weakest of the four groups and may be a chance for a half decent striker to fill his boots a tad in the group stage.

Villa is injured surely? I think RVP and Benzema are definites and Gomez or Klose will be another. Good point about the Russians, does Pav play up front for them? Thinking maybe Sneijder as well.
