Listened to highlights on southern counties radio but they were very biased.

It was a good day out. Nice to meet a few TEFers. Mex is ace - FACT.

Hard to judge how Town will fair in the league this year, Crawley were very well organised.

I'd give you a post-match analysis, but drinking since 6am means my head doesn't work properly.

I'm sure Sonic/Whits will do the honours when they get home.

fuckabaaaaaaaht :beers:

right have now finished my dinner can write some more.

started with 442 but that only lasted 10 minutes, the penalty was a total cock up, o hanlon left it and ifil shoulder barged the player. we were wide open at the back with crawley frequently getting in down their right hand side. smith looked out of his depth.

we changed to 352 and smith moved into the middle of the park, our main problem was imho smithpook and wells just didnt get or want the ball, we had resorted to hoof ball again with ifil being the main culprit.  jerel looked well out of match practice.

caton looked useful on the left and it was his great cross in which cureton lethally finished, good goal.

second half and no changes. then pook with possibly his first touch scored a screamer. subs were made colmyn platt on for o hanlon nicolau on for roberts fallon on for smith. then a cureton from a tight angle , then we conceded form a corner a goal we should have cleared.
another screamer from pook who then got subbed for shakes.
game sort of fizzled out.

we looked ropey and out of practice apart from  a 20 minute spell in second half, crawley were a good passing team and john robinson[ex charlton, wales] controlled a lot of the match.

there number 15 looked like quasi modo and we let him know with spencers crew singing chin  chinery chin chinery chin chin cheroo :soapy tit wank:

Good crowd? Sounds like our defense is really abysmal. We need a decent experienced centre back.

Not liking the hoofs. We know what the teams capable of when we get it down and play.

I don't think so. He was warming up at half time though.

Enjoyable day out, the game itself wasn't up to much though, our midfield was non-existant, Ifil made some very silly mistakes, Bulman didn't look anywhere near good enough for professional football and it was nigh on impossible to figure out what positions people were playing in.

On a more positive note, Pook took both his goals very well and so did Cureton. Caton looked very good in the first half and Nicolau impressed me when he came on, in the last 20 minutes or so we played the ball on the ground and created a few more chances using width and playing the ball through to the front men.

The abuse being thrown at the Crawley players was fucking class 8) Good to meet Sussex, JMH, Mex, Spencer and Walrus as well.

Yeovil - you're just jealous...

I didn't think we were that bad, 4 good goals from Swindon.  We just look a bit shit defensively.  But what's new?  I got a bit wound up at 2-0 down, as I was thinking of the stick I'd have got tonight if it had stayed way!  Feel a bit mean for calling Fallon a useless donkey.  Was well up for giving King a good ole ear-bashing though  :|

Hardcore TEF presence, made the atmosphere in the Broadfield.  Everyone is exactly not how I imagined them, and Mex seemed to more about football than Reg...  Well he knew John Robinson played for Crawley, and noticed we'd changed formation.  These sort of things usually pass me by...  :D

We heard the M25 was shut listening to the cricket on the way back. Went via Guildford and Basingstoke.

How come you stayed behind after FT? I know we won 4-3 but a pitch invasion was uncalled for.

Saturday was class, except for the quality of the football, but that took second place to abusing the Crawley players especially number 15 A.K.A Hunchback of Notre Dame, he kept shouting Esmeralda to all of his team mates when he wanted the ball. (thank you very much, i'm here all week!) :?

Another bonus was that I travelled from Walton to Clapham, then Clapham to Crawley, then Three bridges to Croydon, then Croydon to Clapham and finally Clapham to Earlsfield, all without buying a single ticket, result!

Great to meet TEF guys, Mex, Sussex, Walrus, Sonic, Whits and Spencer.

Mex – legend, 8)  in real life nothing like his TEF persona

Sussex – Initially thought that he was a bit odd/shy, but it was just that he was pissed from drinking from 6.00. Great bloke, but anyone who drinks Stella before midday needs to be kept an eye on.

Walrus   – See below

Sonic – Great bloke, the oracle for members of TEF. Had a go at me for not posting much.

Whits – Knows his football, and a great bloke, (plus he’s built like a brick out house, so if you thought that he was a cunt you wouldn’t tell him)

Spencer – Chief heckler, funny as fuck. Only lost points for turning up to the pub late. :nono:

Walrus is the funniest bloke in the world, :D  but at the same time you think that he could go off on one and get everyone arrested at any second.

He gained 3 older brothers on Saturday me, Mex and Sussex. I even cuffed him round the head for calling Fallon a useless donkey (which he definitely heard Walrus!). Then gave him £2 and told him to go and buy himself some sweets. He also drives like a maniac! (ask Sussex). Cheers for the lift to the station mate.

As for the footy, first half was very poor especially the first 20mins. Second half was a bit better, last 20 mins following the substitutions we actually played some decent stuff.

Negatives:
The back 4 were woeful
No backbone in midfield
Roberts looks disinterested (I think Whits could be right, that he may leave soon)

Positives:
Pooks goals
Nicolau who looked lively when he came on
Fallon who didn’t get many chances but intimidated the defence and looked well up for it. Although his confidence is now dented after Walrus’s comment (stupid boy!)

Cureton (Walrus’s mate), looked pretty lively. Could link up very well with Fallon.

Can’t wait for the start of the season!

South Coast (and Greater London) Reds on tour

No worries mate, i'm sure that there will be many more occaisons for a TEF group drink and hug. Especially now that I know where the Merlin is (it's changed name since I lived in Swindon).

Lacoste trainers nice, hope you didn't ruin them in the rain.

Spencer - My apologies, didn't know you worked in the morning :?

Oi what was wrong with my driving?!  I was as safe as houses!

I do feel mean for calling Fallon a donkey, 'cos I'm a big fan and was only joking!  I do love Cureton though, good to see him smiling.

Was a good afternoon, and I thought not bad football given it was a friendly, and the youth we had in midfield.  The most important thing for me was the result, rather than the performance!

Not to bad.  Yeh I got to the party, though ended up getting pretty badly concussed on the bouncy castle, plus I struggle to get drunk.  It must have been all the naffing about on the bouncy castle!  But yeh was a gud'un!  How 'bout you - go out that night?

  Thats one other thing I forgot. I had a pair of them once. They were top, but they lasted about 2 months. The back fell out and everything.

My current pair of Adidas Rio Grande are a fucking disgrace. But at least theyve done 18 months of hard graft. I love em, I go in sports stores every month but Id rather just have a new pair of Rios.
