Austin would make Hutton's crosses look better.

Are you saying they are changing their mind?

End of the day it's Clem decision, lets say he costs £100k in wages, probably double that & some in attendances & merch, reckon it would put 1000 on the gate for Boxing day of announced prior - homecoming on the pitch that day before being able to play in the new year.

Think of the learning opportunity a CA return would be for JW etc. It could add significantly to their sell on value.

Any model has to be flexible in exceptional circumstances. Having a poacher like Austin is an opportunity we get simply because of where we are. It would be wrong of Di Michele to say no to it, if it is true that Austin would come back. You’d be buying 10+ goals, and give the club the shot in the arm that it needs. We’re too close to letting the “Morfuni feel good factor” waste away, again in large part due to poor (managerial) recruitment. Can he manage as well?

I actually think it was true, it sounds like Clem has made a very brave decision to overrule Sandro and Lindsey.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the beginning of the end for either of them.

We're in deep tin foil hat speculation territory now, but what price Austin being player/manager by the end of the season?

Swindon Town have declined to comment on the Charlie Austin Rumours at this time.

At the risk of pulling a venkman, I’ve had a look at the A-league subreddit, consensus seems to be his legs have gone and he’s too injured nowadays

“Will be sad seeing Austin leaving. Similar to Adam Le Fondre, he seems like a nice bloke who genuinely wants to do well and isn’t here just for a holiday like Sturridge and others were.

However, the injury he has isn’t going to heal. I don’t think his body’s health can match his ambitions.”

“ Not much can be done if his body tells him its time. When he first got to the club he looked promising and seemed he just needed game fitness but if you saw the game on the weekend he looked absolutely cooked, his body is done. All he could do was hobble up the field like a 90 year old with arthritis.”

“ I mean, we're shit, and our management is shit, but Austin is clearly unfit - whatever injury he has to his foot/leg isn't healing, he's been hobbling all season.”

Funnily enough, despite not seeming to have done much he does seem to have gone down quite well with the fans down there

Sounds like a signing intended to curry favour with supporters. I doubt that CA at this stage in his career will significantly improve our chances of getting promoted.

Hi Sandro Smiley

Great so we now have the club and Austin spinning via the TEF, we should feel very important!  Cheesy Wink
