Seems a bit drastic if it's just being late for 1 training session.
Got to be more to it than that. Hope it's not a symptom of the current malaise at the club.
Which is what makes me think that discussions about it didn't go well.

We've never found out why Brad Smith was suddenly recalled by Liverpool last season.
Interestingly, he is now without a club.

Now we obviously need a new 'keeper urgently. If Belford gets injured or catches the lurgie, we'll be drafting in the youth 'keepers.

I've just bought a new pair of goalie gloves on eBay. Coincidence, no?

So can we do another season long loan? Does the fact that Liverpool recalled him mean that we get that loan slot back? Would be nice to get a more experienced keeper in to add a voice at the back and help the defence out, we have serious lack of voice and leadership back there..

We're still in the Emergency Loan Window, but we can only sign someone for a max of 90-odd days.

Which takes us to when the actual window opens, bar a few days, so it's fine.

At least the 93 days maximum will take us to the end of December...and the window re-opens on 1st Jan. Unless we sign a player that is currently out of contract.

A bit random, but how about Richard Wright from Man City? I know he's coaching there, but would be good short term. Also help Belford.
