Should not the first priority be a decent midfield player who could take some of the pressure off our beleagured (good word init) defence.

Leaving Bristol Rovers because he's not impressed with the training facilities. Yeah, that sounds like a really valid reason to leave after you've been at a club for 3 years.

I smell bullshit.

From a source close to Rovers

"I saw Steve Phillips at Temple meads earlier,he was trying to catch a train to Swindon......he missed it by miles."  from 606.

Ha ha, sounds like he'd fit in well behind our defence.

Was that Konstantopolopolis in goal for Swansea reserves last night the guy that used to play for Hartlepool and went to Coventry?  He was a decent keeper and would be the better option if available, DW also knows him.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree here?

No you are right, however I dont think Konstontoplos or Phillips would improve our team.

Our those two really any better than what we've got. I dont think so.

I dunno, I think he was as good as them when they were all playing well.  If we end up losing Brez, opolopolopolis wouldn't be a bad replacement if it is a cheap deal.  In the season that Brez was good and got injured I remember him being the best keeper in the league that season and going to Cov for decent money.

Vital Gas understands that Bristol Rovers keeper Steve Phillips is unhappy at the Memorial Stadium after the promise of better training facilities have not materialised.

A source close to Swindon Town Football Club revealed that Phillips was looking to move away from Rovers at the end of the season.

We understand that Phillips is looking to team up with former Bristol City Manager Danny Wilson at Swindon Town

Come off it Gazza, you'll be sponsoring him next season !

My feeling is he could be coming here as a coach as well...and maybe cover for Brez and Smith.

Flippin heck are we seriously talking about taking on not only an ex-shit head, but an ex-gashead, who has done his best to wind up Swindon fans for years.

Surely you can't be happy with contributing in any way to that blokes wages.  Football's begining to do my head in.
