Negotiations at the County Ground are believed to be close to completion with the club and the mystery investor. Arber, 48, who is believed to have a personal fortune of around £70m, is a friend of the Wills’ family and the club’s business advisor Mike Diamandis. But a source close to club confirmed that although Arber has links with the Wills’ family and Diamandis, he is not the mystery man they are in talks with. The source said: “I can categorically confirm that the club are not in talks with Simon Arber. “I want to completely dismiss any speculation, there is no truth in these reports. “The club is in talks with a potential investor and we are at a stage in negotiations where legalities prevent us from talking about specifics. “I cannot say anymore at this stage.” is it just me or does that suggest that an NDA has been signed with the "new investors"? Is there any way we can find that out? It certainly seems odd that the "new investor" is at the stage of 'secret' negotations so soon whereas we've been waiting for the NDA to be signed for what now seems like months. It is that fact alone that angers me - the two-faced board have said they'd 'welcome investment' the best investment in years - perhaps in the clubs history cannot even get it's feet under the table to have a confidential look at the things. I would even respect the board slightly if they singed the NDA let the consortium assess things and make an offer which they turned down. The fact that they cannot even get that far is beyond my comprehension. He also said something along the lines of "an NDA has not yet been signed, which is the same situation that the consortium of Bill Power and Phil Emmell are in". Methinks Ed is pissed off enough to start putting the boot in. Hopefully.
