I have my doubts whether Allen will ever be strong enough, so having Pook around would make sense to me for a while in case of injuries. His tackling and heading is better, and he gets involved in a few assists. A pity his passing can be so poor, but he ain't the only one at times.

Yes yes I agree. I don't think he'll start too much and is definitely behind Easton and Timlin.
I understand that no-one has come in for him, though he has been offered a few trials...

If he loves this club so much, why don't he play like he does. He's by far the worst player at the club in my opinion.

He'll probably be loaned out to Chippenham/Salisbury/Supermarine in the very near future.
The reason he is still here is because he's awful and nobody wants him.

The reason he is still here is because he's awful and nobody wants him. I wouldn't say he's awful, but he's not great. I think his problem is this: If you're a lower league footballer then you need to be either a) good for that level (someone like Peacock, he's not brilliant but he's a good pro at this level) or b) have something about you (like Billy Paynter, looked good in spells but never really excelled). You don't see your standard league one/two players staying at clubs of the same level for too long - they either drop down slowly or very quickly (a la Gareth Whalley). Pook's not your engine room type player like Paul Evans who'll become a lower league journey-man and he's not got anything special or a certain skill about him to make someone take a gamble.
