I think a lot of people are under estimating how hard it is for the police to actually bring a case like this to court.
It really does have to be a strong case....with real evidence otherwise it wouldn't have gone this far.
Will be up to the jury to decide if that evidence is strong enough.
If he is found guilty its goodbye for a fair while i reckon...only got to look at Ched Evans to see what he may recieve.
Personally i cannot see how a footballer can give his all to a team with this overhanging him,which is why i believe it is a poor signing......nothing to do with his past record etc.
Playing football these days is tough enough without all that extra baggage.
There are lots of stupid girls who sadly find out the hard way about lifes ups and downs(no pun intended)

Actually that's not strictly true - arresting, charging and bringing someone to court is the easy bit... The hard bit is proving to the jury that the woman was raped... By which time the bloke has been pinched anyway... |

I don't post on here often, much less get wound up by what's on here usually, but the reaction to Rangers charge has really got my goat. I don't know the full details, neither do any of us until the court case. Yet we've had people suggesting because it was in a hotel it can't be rape, some childish chants glorfying his alleged crime at the game yesterday, and finally Kerry Reds 'joke' which I'm not sure entirely was in jest, and even if it was, it's in pretty poor taste. |

Christ - here we go again.
My point was that I doubt if anyone in a relationship asks his/her partner every single time they have sex if they actually want to.
You take it for granted unless there is a 'headache' mentioned.
There was a time, not so long ago, when rape within marriage wasn't a crime at all.
So if any of you do, indeed, take it for granted what does that make you?
And before anyone takes offence, I'm not making that point to anyone in particular
