A woman who lives near us, who doesn't work, was sat on her doorstep smoking, in her dressing gown, at 12 o'clock. Just then some poor cunt on a bike delivers her a Greggs takeaway.
Talk about a snapshot of modern society.
Maybe she had a lottery win? Greggs do delivery? I presume there is a minimum value order?

I've done a few meetings in my dressing gown, I have to admit, and having a Greggs delivered during said meeting would have been bliss. In fact, given there are no Greggs here, it's practically luxury food for me now (I have some frozen sausage rolls in the freezer, purchased from a Fish and Chip shop we went to about 80 miles away)

Actually talking about Greggs that reminds me.
I joined the gym at the start of May, a new one that they have just opened. I had to smile when I got there, its in a square which contains the following;
Dominos Pizza, Subway, (10% discount as a gym member) Papa Johns and Greggs. I'd say these are placed there deliberately as a real test for some people after their workout!

Me and most people I knew walked or cycled to school, about a 3 mile round trip for me. I even did it for 5 weeks with a broken ankle. Some kids get driven less than a quarter of a mile to school

Talk about a snapshot of modern society. It's the natural progression from dropping your kids off at school/going shopping in your PJs

Go on. A Diet Coke and a pizza would certainly help to replace some of the essential life force that is lost through exercise.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

We actually get 50% discount at Papa Johns through some Meerkat insurance thing so will probably be utilising that sooner rather than later! With a diet coke of course!

Yep, kids getting dropped off at school, in the good old days they were up Chimneys are squeezing into the Looms to fix the broken machinery before losing a limb or two, and singing about how good life was at the same time.
