I wonder if that kind of "bants" was ever funny.

At risk of being leapt upon if it's already been answered, does anyone know why it's taking so long to appoint a manager?
Is it unreasonable to think this should have been sorted out by now ?

It is, wonder if he's trying to convince a manager to come in, surely Williams would have been announced by now if he was first choice/fancied it.

Power is getting cut price management atm, probably wait a while yet before promoting Williams and Embleton, save a few quid.

it's not that, we aren't going to get a name like pdc that adds to the gate.

I'd have preferred bringing in a manager because:
  1. I think Williams goes a bit OTT on the 'pass at all costs' and needs a foil to keep him in check.
 2. I'm not a fan of established coaches stepping up at the same club in general

there are obviously arguments against this, I'm not saying it can't work, blah, blah, blah

He does what Power wants with regard to training and football philosophy. Whether fans like that or not it up to them.
Have the club really made an effort to get someone in, or is it that nobody of any real worth would fit into this current model of working and wage structure ?

Tin hat and sand bags time then...this is either going to be genius or disaster, based on what we've seen so far.

Is there actually any point in changing anything at the moment? Amongst all the doom and gloom people seem to be ignoring the fact that over the last 10 games we are 2nd in the form table only behind Burton. 7 wins out of the last 10 is too long a run to just be a 'fluke'. We are clearly good enough to stay in the division if we avoid lots of injuries so just get a few bodies in to see the season through and reevaluate in the summer. The squad isn't as bad as many make out, basically short of one player in defence, one in midfield and probably one up top.
