tight game, great goal by Young, but equally - big saves by Mahoney

Had a look at their bench for comparison and it's three very experienced players (captain and vice captain aged 33) and then kids.

One moment of quality in that half and it's 1 0 us, so that's good

...which suggests that for all our nice movement, it is Harrogate h
that have looked the likelier for the usual reasons.

A big second half coming up.

Similar first half to Colchester, could be more up.

we've had 1 shot on target
they've had 3.

I'm not complaining, but for me it wasn't as dominant as Colchester.

Those cycling stats on ifollow at half time suggest we've put in 16 crosses in a half. Of which er.. four have connected.

I'm sure they also have injuries.

My view of that half. Sumptuous finish by Young. After 20 mins, I sneaked a bet on him to score first. Khan pick of our lads for me,something like his imperious best. Minturn adequately replacing Brewitt. Still seem to be a bit gung ho going forward leaving gaps but that's our style I suppose and Flynn seems to be sticking to it but thankfully Mahoney keeping us in front. Kinsell should never have been booked for that but how did Kokolo get away with the shirt pull. I know ref played advantage but thought he'd give a retro yellow. Then Kinsella fouled far worse than the one he was booked for and the Gate player gets away with it. Another inconsistent ref!
If Austin doesn't make 90, little bit worried.

Hutton crossing has been loopy whilst kokolo more frequently driving them in with power, neither tactic working.

Has UGM changed boots? Didn’t he have orange ones in the first half?

Perhaps Austin's wearing his, would explain a few touches...

Austin is awful today, I would get Brewitt on in midfield and push Kemp up front. Nothing is working for Austin so far today.

Agree RE Austin. Been fucking awful for a while. 2 goals in the league from open play. Everything just bouncing off him or he’s just two steps behind play. Immune from same levels of criticism as others get also it seems.

Blinder by Young x Kemp. Simply have to hang on today, cannot cave in away from home again.
